JANET LARSON

An Associate Broker with Benson & Mangold and consistently one of Talbot County’s top producers over the last 18 years, Janet strives to provide her buyers and sellers with the highest level of service and professionalism possible through all stages of their real estate experience.

This basic guiding principle in her conduct of business has served Janet and her clients extremely well. The consistent loyalty and volume of referrals from her client base are a testament to Janet’s excellent performance as an agent in the Mid-Shore area.

Janet has lived in our area since 1985, residing in Queen Anne’s County for 12 years before her move to Easton in 1998. She is a graduate of Dickinson College where she majored in Political Science and Environmental Studies and worked as a lobbyist for the Pennsylvania Chamber of Commerce. After graduation, she was privileged to work on the D.C. legislative staff of two United States Senators, handling a diverse array of issues from Environment to Veterans Affairs.

Janet is a member of the National Association of REALTORS®, the Maryland Association of REALTORS®, and the Midshore Board of REALTORS®, where she serves on the Professional Standards Committee and is the Chairperson of the new MSBR Clean Water Committee. She is active in the community and has served on numerous local boards, including the Parent’s Association and Board of Trustees of The Country School, the Parents’ Association of Gunston Day School and the local board of the American Cancer Society. She volunteers for and supports the YMCA of the Chesapeake and worked on “Project Idlewild”, a local effort to build a children’s playground at Idlewild Park. Her current focus is working in several volunteer capacities at Talbot Hospice, chairing the Clean Water Committee and sitting on the Professional Standards Committee of the Mid-Shore Board of REALTORS®.

Janet is a sports enthusiast who loves golf, tennis, pickleball, hiking, and boating–particularly kayaking the local rivers and streams of the Midshore area. "Being out on our waters, paddling in the early mornings and evenings when the light is perfect is like meditation to me”, says Janet. "It connects me with our natural world, I feel so fortunate to have this time on our scenic waterways." Janet resides on a picturesque cove off the Miles River with her lab and golden retriever and has three children – all grown, out on their own, and gainfully employed.
